Transformer QA Manager / Engineer

About the role

Al Dana Switchgear, a leading electrical manufacturing company in Qatar, is seeking an experienced professional to lead quality assurance and transformer testing operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that all transformers meet IEC standards and customer specifications while driving continuous improvement across the testing facility.

Key responsibilities

• Independently perform routine, type, and special transformer tests.
• Conduct Temperature Rise Tests and Acoustic Tests.
• Establish and optimise transformer testing stations.
• Select, maintain, and calibrate testing equipment.
• Ensure compliance with IEC 60076 standards and customer specifications.
• Lead quality inspections and factory acceptance tests (FAT).
• Prepare technical reports and quality documentation.
• Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in transformer testing and quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of IEC 60076 standards.
• Experience with transformer testing facilities and FAT procedures.
