Transient Aircraft Services Technician (Secret Clearance)

About the role

The Transient Aircraft Services (TAS) Technician provides essential ground handling and servicing for United States and Coalition aircraft operating in Qatar. Reporting to the Supervisor, the technician supports 24/7 flight‑line operations in a high‑tempo, austere environment while maintaining strict safety and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a ZERO‑Harm workplace by adhering to all flight‑line safety requirements, including FOD prevention, tool control, and proper use of PPE.
• Perform aircraft marshaling, parking, and positioning in accordance with Technical Orders and airfield procedures.
• Execute arrival and departure services such as chocking, grounding, and safe positioning on the flight line.
• Conduct ground‑handling tasks required for aircraft turn‑around and mission readiness.
• Assist in aircraft launch and recovery operations in coordination with supervisors and airfield management.
• Inspect and service assigned vehicles and support equipment used in TAS operations.
• Maintain strict accountability of tools and equipment, complying with tool‑control programs at all times.
• Participate in routine flight‑line inspections and immediate removal of foreign objects.
• Document aircraft servicing records, shift logs, and inspection checklists accurately.
• Report safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, and operational issues to leadership immediately.

Required profile

• Valid U.S. Secret Clearance.
• Ability to work continuously in a 24/7/365 flight‑line environment.
• Commitment to strict safety protocols and airfield standards.
• Effective communication with supervisors and team members.
