Transient Aircraft Services Technician (Secret Clearance) – Qatar

About the role

The Transient Aircraft Services (TAS) Technician supports United States and Coalition Forces by providing safe, efficient ground handling and servicing for aircraft arriving and departing from a Qatar installation. The role operates 24/7 in a high‑tempo, austere environment and requires strict adherence to safety and security protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a ZERO‑harm workplace by following all flight‑line safety requirements, including FOD prevention, tool control, and PPE usage.
• Perform aircraft marshaling, parking, positioning, chocking, grounding, and other arrival/departure services in accordance with Technical Orders and airfield procedures.
• Execute ground handling tasks that support aircraft turn‑around and mission readiness.
• Assist with aircraft launch and recovery operations in coordination with supervisors and airfield management.
• Conduct operator‑level inspections and servicing of vehicles and support equipment used in TAS operations.
• Ensure strict accountability of tools and equipment, complying with tool‑control programs.
• Participate in routine flight‑line inspections, remove foreign objects, and maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Document aircraft servicing records, shift logs, and inspection checklists; report safety hazards and equipment issues promptly.

Required profile

• Valid Secret clearance (as indicated in the title).
• Ability to work continuously in a 24/7/365 flight‑line environment.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to Technical Orders, PWS, and U.S. Air Force directives.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with supervisors and team members.
