Transportation Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a Transportation Coordinator to be based in Qatar supporting the LOGCAP program. The role oversees movement control functions, including convoy briefings, staging area management, hazardous material documentation, and container handling.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor all transportation movements and coordinate with security and Movement Control Teams (MCTs).
• Input convoy data into the ledger, close entries and track convoys using the Movement Tracking System (MTS).
• Retrieve and follow up on convoy reports via NIPR computers, ensuring timely submission.
• Assist in sourcing new transportation modes and carriers, and analyze freight costs.
• Manage staging areas, hazardous material (HAZMAT) certification, RFID tags, and container management through the Integrated Booking System Container Management Module (IBS‑CMM) and Cargo Movement Operations System (CMOS).
• Lead cargo truck convoys, ensuring equipment safety, accountability and mission coordination.
• Maintain historical movement data and create circulation overlays as required.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts 4K‑100K) and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with a valid U.S. passport.
• High school diploma or equivalent (must provide copy).
• At least three years of experience in transportation or logistics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and host‑nation driver’s license.
• Eligibility for a Common Access Card (CAC).
• Demonstrated leadership ability and capacity to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Familiarity with hazardous material (HAZMAT) documentation and certification.
• Experience with RFID tag management.
• Use of Integrated Booking System Container Management Module (IBS‑CMM).
• Use of Cargo Movement Operations System (CMOS) and Movement Tracking System (MTS).
• Operation of material handling equipment (forklifts 4K‑100K).
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
