US Elementary Teacher

About the role

Education 1st Recruitment is seeking a dedicated US Elementary Teacher to join a school in Doha. The successful candidate will inspire young learners, uphold high academic standards, and contribute to a supportive school community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver well‑structured lessons aligned with the school’s scheme of work.
• Assign and monitor homework in line with school policies.
• Use formative and summative assessments to track progress, set targets and inform future teaching.
• Provide regular oral and written feedback, encouraging students to act on it.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement and wellbeing.
• Undertake pastoral duties and support student welfare.
• Participate in curriculum, administrative and pastoral meetings.
• Attend parent meetings prepared to discuss achievement and wellbeing.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree plus PGCE qualification.
• Previous experience working in the UK education system.
• Strong communicator with a passion for student success.
• Team‑player with solid subject knowledge and an optimistic approach.
