Work Permits Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Work Permits Engineer to oversee the review, approval and issuance of eCPW/PTW permits for asset operators, tenants and contractors operating within the Industrial City boundary. The role ensures that all activities comply with QatarEnergy and Industrial Cities guidelines, regulations and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end process for eCPW/PTW permits, guaranteeing alignment with QatarEnergy and Industrial Cities standards.
• Develop, supervise and schedule inspection programmes, methodologies and audits for projects carried out by asset operators, tenants and contractors.
• Monitor compliance with permit conditions and QatarEnergy regulations across construction, testing and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with engineering, HSE and operations teams to resolve permit‑related issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years total experience, including at least 5 years in the oil and gas sector.
• Working knowledge of construction, testing and commissioning disciplines and solid understanding of engineering principles.
• In‑depth familiarity with engineering and HSE codes and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (any discipline).
