YouTube Specialist – Channel Growth & SEO

About the role

We are seeking a YouTube Specialist to drive growth and optimise content for brand channels. The role focuses on developing strategies, managing uploads and improving discoverability across YouTube and related social platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise YouTube channels for brands and clients.
• Develop content strategies, editorial calendars and upload schedules.
• Upload and optimise videos, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, playlists, tags and metadata.
• Conduct keyword, competitor and audience research to inform SEO.
• Monitor watch time, audience retention, CTR, subscriber growth and other channel metrics.
• Analyse performance data and provide recommendations for future content.
• Identify trending topics and new video opportunities.
• Collaborate with creators, editors, designers and copywriters.
• Support both YouTube Shorts and long‑form content strategies and adapt content for other social platforms.
• Stay updated on algorithm changes, new features, monetisation options and best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing or growing YouTube channels.
• Strong knowledge of YouTube Studio, analytics and SEO.
• Understanding of thumbnails, titles, retention, watch time and audience behaviour.
• Strong analytical and research abilities.
• Experience with both Shorts and long‑form video formats.
• Portfolio or examples of measurable channel growth preferred.
