AC Technician – Installation, Maintenance & Repair

About the role

An AC Technician in Doha is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing a variety of cooling systems for commercial, residential and industrial properties. The role requires strong technical knowledge, safety awareness and the ability to work independently on site.

Key responsibilities

• Install air conditioning units, refrigerant lines and control panels according to design and safety specifications.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on split units, package units, chillers, air handling units (AHUs) and fan coil units (FCUs) to ensure optimal cooling efficiency.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, replace defective parts, repair leaks and carry out refrigerant recovery and gas charging.
• Monitor system performance, keep accurate daily logs of maintenance activities and repairs.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma, ITI or Certificate in HVAC, Refrigeration or Mechanical/Electrical trades.
• 5 to 10 years of hands‑on experience in residential, hospitality or commercial facilities.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical circuits.
• Safe handling of refrigerants, including recovery and charging.
• Ability to read and interpret technical wiring diagrams and schematics.
