Accounts Receivable Accountant

About the role

The Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s receivables, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections and proper financial reporting for Mowasalat’s transport services.

Key responsibilities

• Review, verify and process invoice documents, update invoices in SAP and ensure compliance with credit policies.
• Record all financial transactions in SAP, maintain up‑to‑date customer accounts and GL balances, and support month‑end closing.
• Conduct detailed reviews and reconciliations of customer accounts, investigate discrepancies and keep records accurate.
• Collaborate with internal departments to obtain and submit accurate invoice and financial documentation.
• Proactively follow up on overdue balances, coordinate with debt collectors and negotiate payment plans.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and customer data and adhere to internal controls and finance policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the transportation or service industry.
• Preferred training in Accounts Receivable Management, Financial Analysis and ERP systems (SAP).

Required skills

• SAP (ERP) for invoicing, transaction recording and reporting.
