Analyst Costing

About the role

The Analyst Costing will support the development and maintenance of costing methodologies across patient services, departments, and procedures, ensuring accurate financial analysis and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain costing methodologies for patient, service line, departmental, and procedural data.
• Collect, validate, and analyze financial and operational data for cost accounting.
• Prepare cost reports, dashboards, variance analyses, and ad‑hoc financial analyses for leadership.
• Monitor direct and indirect cost allocations and analyze labor, supplies, pharmaceuticals, and overhead for efficiency opportunities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and benchmarking initiatives.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle teams on pricing and reimbursement analyses.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in healthcare finance, cost accounting or financial analysis.
• Professional certification (CMA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems and cost accounting systems.
• Familiarity with healthcare information systems.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial modeling.
