Animator – Pool & Activities at Banana Island Resort Doha

About the role

The Animator will oversee the pool and recreation area at Banana Island Resort Doha, ensuring a safe, clean, and engaging environment for guests. This role combines operational excellence with guest interaction, supporting both the day‑to‑day running of facilities and the delivery of memorable activities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute operational procedures, checklists and work instructions to high standards.
• Prepare pool facilities and equipment daily, handling cleaning, reception and administrative tasks.
• Open and close the centre according to published hours while complying with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the shift.
• Supervise the pool area, assist swimmers in difficulty and provide lifesaving first aid when required.
• Monitor and record pool water chemical levels, reporting any deviations.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance in the plant room, including filter backwash.
• Attend training sessions as directed by the manager.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or resort.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit, able to stand for long periods and swim if needed.
• Ability to lead group activities such as games, fitness sessions or arts and crafts.
