About the role

La Petite Maison in Doha is seeking an Assistant Head Sommelier and Sommelier Supervisor to lead its wine service team. You will mentor staff, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and uphold the brand’s high standards of French‑Mediterranean hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and support team members, acting as the primary reference for service excellence.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of all food and beverage offerings, with a focus on French wines.
• Train staff on wine selection, food‑wine pairings, and overall wine service.
• Oversee the sommelier service during daily operations, ensuring seamless execution.
• Manage wine inventory, monitor storage conditions, and guarantee secure handling of stock.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2‑3 years of experience as a sommelier in a comparable restaurant setting.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong knowledge of French wines and general wine theory.
