Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support daily operations across Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club and Laundry (where applicable) at our property in West Bay, Doha. This entry‑level management role works closely with staff to maintain guest rooms and public areas, conduct inspections and help ensure guest and employee satisfaction while adhering to the operating budget.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily housekeeping assignments, obtain room cleaning lists and manage check‑out preparations.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, linens and guest amenities; order items as needed.
• Communicate room status to the Front Desk promptly and collaborate with Engineering for maintenance requests.
• Supervise shift operations, enforce housekeeping policies, and conduct inspections of rooms and public spaces.
• Oversee lost‑and‑found procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA and loss‑prevention policies.
• Handle guest complaints, review comment cards and empower staff to deliver excellent service.
• Support training, monitor performance, coach employees and assist with payroll administration.
• Act as the acting supervisor for Housekeeping in the absence of the Director of Services or Housekeeping Manager.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, or a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, loss‑prevention policies and basic budgeting concepts.
• Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams such as Front Desk and Engineering.
