Assistant Project Manager – Restaurant Development & Fit‑Out

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to support the end‑to‑end delivery of restaurant development and fit‑out projects. You will work across all phases, from shell‑and‑core construction through interior fit‑out, MEP installation, kitchen equipment commissioning and final handover.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling and delivering restaurant construction and fit‑out projects.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, trackers and progress reports.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants, suppliers, designers and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor site progress, identify potential delays and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, workmanship and compliance with approved drawings.
• Oversee civil, architectural, structural, MEP, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire‑life‑safety services.
• Manage interior fit‑out works including flooring, ceilings, joinery, furniture, signage and back‑of‑house areas.
• Coordinate kitchen equipment layout, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Review drawings, shop drawings, material submissions and RFIs to ensure the latest approved information is applied on site.
• Obtain required permits, inspections and approvals from relevant authorities.
• Track long‑lead items, monitor procurement schedules and follow up on potential delays.
• Support quotation reviews, variations, cost implications and snagging closure.
• Ensure collection of as‑built drawings, warranties, certificates and manuals before handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management or a related field.
• Proven experience in restaurant or commercial fit‑out projects, preferably in an assistant project management capacity.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, MEP systems and fit‑out specifications.
• Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
