About the role
The Assistant Relationship Manager will support the development and maintenance of relationships with the bank’s customers in Qatar. The role focuses on selling and cross‑selling banking products and services, meeting sales targets while ensuring credit quality is preserved.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate day‑to‑day business development activities for a wholesale banking portfolio and acquire new corporate customers.
- Conduct due‑diligence and structure deals to protect the bank’s interests and efficiently book new relationships.
- Maximise product penetration and cross‑selling by joining customer visits with relevant specialists.
- Prepare and deliver regular meetings with portfolio clients to introduce CBQ products and services.
- Collect credit requests and documents, perform preliminary analysis, and forward to credit analysis for approval.
- Monitor payment collections, send reminders near due dates, and actively pursue renewals.
- Gather and analyse credit worthiness, financial data, and banking needs of existing and potential customers.
- Develop and maintain account plans, track business opportunities, and report portfolio performance to team leaders.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field.
- Arabic speaking preferred.
- Strong integrity, ethics, planning and risk‑management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Numerical aptitude and ability to work with financial data.
