Head Cost Controller

About the role

The Head Cost Controller will lead cost control and financial reporting for rig‑level assets within Gulf Drilling International’s finance department in Doha.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and review of rig‑level accounts, operational cost reports and financial analyses to ensure accurate cost recognition and reporting integrity.
• Monitor expenditures, cost allocations, accruals and billing activities, ensuring compliance with budgets, accounting standards and contractual terms.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for operational assets, coordinating with Operations, Technical and Supply Chain teams.
• Analyse monthly financial results, variance analyses and operational dashboards to identify performance drivers and cost‑optimization opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in cost control, operational finance, budgeting or related finance functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA or CA) preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail capabilities.
