Construction Manager – Healthcare/Hospital Projects

About the role

Stantec is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the supervision of a healthcare/hospital project in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The role involves overseeing construction execution, health and safety compliance, and coordination with project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, incorporate and maintain the project Health and Safety program.
• Ensure strict compliance, professional appearance and continuous improvement among safety engineers on site.
• Lead all construction execution and HSE supervision activities for Stantec.
• Prepare constructability and build‑ability reviews.
• Assist the Project Manager with sequencing, phasing and logistics reviews.
• Participate in weekly contractor site logistics, progress and HSE meetings.
• Produce construction and HSE sections of monthly reports.
• Prepare preliminary hand‑over reports with technical managers.
• Support review of claims, extensions of time and variations from Stantec’s perspective.
• Facilitate project hand‑over and final walk‑through with technical managers.
• Protect and ensure compliance with contractual and authority HSE requirements.
• Review and comment on construction documentation and site logistic plans related to health, environment and safety.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience managing construction of large buildings and working with international consultants.
• Previous consultancy experience on healthcare/hospital projects preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction or a related discipline from an internationally recognized university.
• Strong engineering and technical background with solid understanding of site logistics and HSE.
• Demonstrated integrity, strong organizational ability and capability to manage conflict.
• Proactive decision‑making and ability to work independently.
• Professional communication skills with contractors, site management and engineers.
• Flexibility and adaptability to handle varied project demands.
