Development Manager (Progression to General Manager)

About the role

Elevion Group is launching a new digital venture in Qatar and seeks a Development Manager to build the business from market entry to full operational setup. The role is hands‑on and designed to evolve into General Manager with full P&L ownership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead go‑to‑market strategy and initial launch in Qatar.
• Build and manage day‑to‑day operations, service delivery, and customer experience.
• Set up and optimise ecommerce workflows, digital service processes, and operational infrastructure.
• Support early P&L management, budgeting and monthly reporting.
• Hire, train and lead the initial core team.
• Collaborate with the technology team to prioritise product improvements based on market data.
• Ensure legal, licensing and regulatory compliance in Qatar.
• Develop partnerships, commercial channels and early revenue streams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in ecommerce and operations (mandatory).
• Experience launching or scaling a digital product or service.
• Strong understanding of the Qatar/GCC market.
• Commercially sharp, comfortable with numbers, pricing and margins.
• Hands‑on leader who thrives in fast‑moving environments.
• Experience with P&L ownership or financial accountability is preferred.
• Fluent in English; Arabic strongly preferred.
