Director of Finance

About the role

The Director of Finance will provide hands‑on oversight of all financial activities while delivering forward‑looking analysis to support both daily operations and long‑term strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role ensures the resort runs efficiently, sustainably, and with full financial transparency.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Ensure accurate, timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Maintain strong internal controls and coordinate audits, tax filings and regulatory compliance.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and develop financial models for operational and strategic decisions.
• Provide variance analysis, actionable insights and support department heads with budget management.
• Partner with leadership on long‑range planning, capital investments, construction projects and ROI analysis.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships and liquidity to meet operational and capital needs.
• Supervise the Accounting Manager and team, fostering a collaborative and detail‑oriented finance function.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of progressive experience in a senior finance leadership role within a large resort or hospitality property in the Middle East.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven track record of improving financial processes, reporting accuracy and cost efficiency.
