Director of Operations

About the role

The Qatar Operations Director will provide overall strategic, operational, financial and commercial leadership for Italconsult’s Qatar branch. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures operational excellence, financial sustainability, regulatory compliance and business growth while representing the company with key clients, government authorities and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for the Qatar branch, developing and implementing strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Maintain full P&L responsibility, lead budgeting, forecasting, cost control and performance monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with Qatari laws, regulations, licences, certifications and corporate governance requirements.
• Lead workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, retention, succession planning and employee development.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic clients, oversee client retention and business development initiatives.
• Coordinate effectively with corporate headquarters and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in operations management.
• Strong financial management background with full P&L accountability.
• In‑depth knowledge of Qatari regulatory and labour law requirements.
• Extensive experience in human capital management and talent development.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client and stakeholder relationships.
