Director of Private Wealth

About the role

Lesha Bank is looking for a Director of Private Wealth to drive capital raising and investment distribution for its offerings across private capital, aviation, infrastructure, real estate and public equities. The role builds and develops relationships with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices and other eligible investors, turning them into funded investments and repeat participation.

Key responsibilities

• Raise capital and attract client allocations, delivering agreed fundraising, net new money and revenue targets.
• Develop distribution plans and originate new investor relationships in Qatar and approved regional markets.
• Manage the fundraising pipeline from prospect identification through commitment, subscription and funding, with accurate forecasts.
• Manage an investor portfolio, understand their objectives and risk appetite, and present opportunities with rationale, structure, fees, returns and risks.
• Coordinate investor presentations and due diligence with investment specialists, and keep investors engaged after investment.
• Work with investment teams, Operations, Legal and Compliance to ensure timely onboarding, documentation and funding.
• Ensure suitability, regulatory and Shari'a requirements are met, including client due diligence and source of wealth and funds documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline; a postgraduate degree or professional qualification is an advantage.
• Typically 10-15 years of experience in private banking, wealth management, investment distribution or capital raising.
• Demonstrated success raising capital from HNW investors and established investor relationships in Qatar and the GCC.
• Fluent English; Arabic preferred.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of private and public market investments, including structures, risks and liquidity.
• Familiarity with Shari'a-compliant products, suitability and client due diligence.
• Strong presentation, negotiation and relationship management skills.
