Director of Sales & Marketing – Ultra‑Luxury Hotel

About the role

This is a unique opportunity to lead the commercial strategy of a flagship ultra‑luxury hotel in Saudi Arabia. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will shape the hotel’s market positioning, revenue streams and brand reputation from pre‑opening through long‑term stabilization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an integrated commercial strategy covering sales, marketing, PR, revenue management, reservations, catering and events.
• Lead the pre‑opening phase: design the commercial organization, recruit and onboard the team, create SOPs, policies and performance standards.
• Act as the principal commercial advisor to the General Manager and Executive Committee, providing market intelligence and financial analysis.
• Ensure alignment with ownership expectations and luxury brand standards, driving profitability and market share.
• Build strategic partnerships and oversee the implementation of commercial systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Director of Sales & Marketing in a top‑tier international luxury hotel group.
• Proven pre‑opening and opening experience for flagship properties.
• Stable career history with no frequent job changes.
• Experience working outside your country of birth.
• Fluent English; additional language(s) a plus.
• Strong leadership of multicultural teams.
