About the role

GEMS Wellington School – Qatar is seeking a dynamic and dedicated secondary English teacher to join its high‑performing department starting September 2026. The role involves delivering GCSE/IGCSE and AS/A Level English Literature to a diverse student body while fostering an inclusive, evidence‑based learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach GCSE/IGCSE and AS/A Level English Literature to secondary students.
• Plan and deliver engaging, evidence‑based lessons that align with the school’s high‑performance learning philosophy.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support each learner in reaching their maximum potential.
• Collaborate with department colleagues on curriculum development and contribute to an inclusive learning culture.
• Participate in extracurricular activities to promote the holistic development of students.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of teaching experience at secondary level.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant teaching degree.
• Proven success teaching GCSE/IGCSE and AS/A Level English Literature.
• Commitment to high standards, inclusive learning and continuous professional development.
