Finance Officer – Financial Accounting

About the role

The Finance Officer will support the Group’s accounting function by ensuring accurate, complete, and reliable financial information in line with QR Group policies and International Financial Reporting Standards. This role contributes to timely reporting and compliance for both internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor month‑end and year‑end closing timelines, coordinating with management, auditors, and other departments.
• Conduct monthly balance‑sheet reviews, summarise findings for management and develop action plans.
• Guide accounting staff on transaction accounting and ensure adherence to policies.
• Update finance policy manuals and internal procedures, recommending improvements.
• Maintain compliance with international accounting standards and local regulatory requirements.
• Prepare financial data for local authorities and perform fixed‑asset tasks as assigned.
• Maintain the chart of accounts, prepare reconciliations and schedules for internal review and audit.
• Liaise with external auditors during annual financial statement closing.

Required profile

• High School/Vocational/Diploma with at least 4 years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IAS/IFRS and QR Group accounting policies.
• Proven analytical abilities and the capacity to prepare financial statements independently.
• Preferred qualifications: CPA/CA/ACCA, MBA, or airline industry experience.
