Finance Specialist – Accounting & Payroll Support

About the role

The Finance Specialist provides comprehensive accounting, time‑keeping, payroll and banking support to the site, ensuring compliance with the Performance Work Statement and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and reconcile telephone, utility and other vendor bills.
• Maintain the site petty‑cash fund and manage cash security.
• Administer Deltek Costpoint time‑keeping and expense modules, including training new hires.
• Generate month‑end accrual reports, operational fund requests and ensure correct charge coding.
• Audit expense reports, process checks, wire transfers and maintain an auditable filing system.
• Produce finance reports for the Site Manager and PSO Finance.
• Handle payroll accounting, vendor queries and coordinate with supply and purchasing departments.
• Input, reconcile and submit weekly and monthly Quicken data files and accounts payable vouchers.
• Perform utility and bank runs, and submit distribution correction vouchers for telecom services.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of experience in a professional accounting environment, including cash handling.
• Excellent organizational skills and intermediate English proficiency (read, write, speak).
• Valid driver’s license from home country and ability to obtain a host‑nation license.
• Willingness to work overtime, travel domestically and internationally, and perform light to moderate lifting.
