Front Desk Clerk

About the role

The Front Desk Clerk is the first point of contact for guests at our West Bay property in Doha. You will ensure smooth check‑in and check‑out processes, handle payments, and provide accurate information about the hotel and local attractions.

Key responsibilities

• Process guest check‑ins, assign rooms, issue and activate room keys.
• Handle all payment types, including cash, checks, debit and credit cards.
• Process check‑outs, resolve late or disputed charges, and balance receipts.
• Answer guest calls, record requests, and coordinate with housekeeping for room readiness.
• Provide parking instructions, dispatch bell or valet staff, and give directions to local points of interest.
• Run daily arrival/departure reports, verify special requests, and complete cashier and closing reports.
• Count cash at shift start and end, cash guest checks, and follow accounting procedures.
• Adhere to safety, security, and company policies, maintaining a professional appearance and confidentiality.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior work experience required.
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
• Strong communication skills, professional telephone etiquette, and a customer‑service mindset.
• Willingness to follow all company policies and safety procedures.
