General Accounting Manager

About the role

The General Accounting Manager leads the end‑to‑end processes for accounts payable, treasury collections, and non‑employee insurance premium payments. The role ensures accurate accounting, compliance with internal controls and regulations, and supports internal and external audits.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee timely processing of all accounts payable transactions and conduct ageing analysis, including GRIR accounts.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and insurance providers, addressing overdue payments and reconciliation issues.
• Manage treasury collections from customers, payments to suppliers, and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
• Administer non‑employee insurance policies, ensuring premium payments are made on time and coverage is adequate.
• Facilitate internal, external and state audits, close audit findings promptly, and implement corrective actions for process gaps.
• Lead, train and develop the accounting team to achieve high performance and compliance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CA, CPA or CMA preferred.
• 9‑12 years of experience in accounts payable, treasury operations and insurance management within large corporations.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/IAS, financial regulations and internal controls.
