Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO)

About the role

The Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) will provide strategic leadership and overall direction across the diversified business group in Qatar, reporting directly to the Board/Chairman.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Group’s overall strategy, business plans, and long‑term objectives in alignment with the Board’s direction.
• Drive sustainable growth, profitability, operational efficiency and organizational development across all business units.
• Monitor financial and operational performance through budgets, KPIs, management reports and regular performance reviews.
• Identify and evaluate new business, investment, partnership and expansion opportunities.
• Ensure strong corporate governance, internal controls, risk management and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Proven senior executive leadership experience as a Group CEO, CEO, Managing Director, COO or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple subsidiaries or diversified business operations.
• Strong strategic planning, commercial, financial and operational management capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management and communication skills, with ability to represent the Group professionally.
• Fluent in English and Arabic; deep knowledge of the Qatar and GCC business environment.

Required skills

• Financial acumen including budgeting, P&L oversight, financial performance analysis, forecasting and investment evaluation.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, negotiation and decision‑making abilities.
• Corporate governance, risk management and regulatory compliance expertise.
