About the role
The Head Barista leads the Sarab Lounge coffee service at The St. Regis Doha, ensuring flawless opening and closing operations, exceptional guest experiences, and smooth team coordination.
Key responsibilities
- Perform opening and closing duties, including setup of supplies, equipment cleaning, securing the premises, and completing MICROS reports.
- Handle cash management: count bank, process cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, and transport bank securely.
- Record all transactions in the MICROS POS system at the time of order.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching staff.
- Maintain safety, security, uniform standards, and confidentiality of company information.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of relevant barista or food‑beverage experience.
- No prior supervisory experience required.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the MICROS point‑of‑sale system.
- Cash handling and basic accounting reconciliation.
