Senior Accountant – Finance Operations

About the role

The Senior Accountant will manage accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and month‑end closing for Talabat in Doha, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards and supporting accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices, verify authorizations, and maintain supporting documentation.
• Reconcile account payables trial balance during month‑end closing to ensure accuracy.
• Oversee consolidation of monthly and annual financial statements and assist the Financial Control Manager with IFRS‑based annual reports.
• Prepare and review accounts payable financial reports, billing statements, and cash/cheque payment details.
• Reconcile accounts receivable, generate aging analyses, and ensure proper collection reporting.
• Maintain general ledger entries, perform journal postings for accruals and variances, and ensure all transactions comply with IFRS.
• Support year‑end and quarterly audit activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of finance/accounting experience.
• Fluent in Arabic and English (written and verbal).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent organizational and customer‑service skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
