Head of Revenue & Recognition

About the role

Snoonu is seeking a Head of Revenue & Recognition to own end‑to‑end revenue recognition and settlement accounting across its operations in Qatar, Kuwait and Oman. This senior finance leader will ensure that multi‑rail transaction flows are recognized, reconciled and reported in line with IFRS 15 and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead revenue recognition and settlement operations for cash, card, wallet, BNPL and POS transactions across three countries.
• Define and maintain accounting policies, liability mapping and controls to ensure consistent IFRS 15 application.
• Translate new business and product requirements into documented accounting treatments, reducing manual spreadsheet reliance.
• Design validation controls, exception‑management processes and dispute‑resolution workflows.
• Oversee recurring revenue adjustments, promotions, refunds and wallet/bank adjustments in AMS and Odoo ERP.
• Provide cash‑flow forecasting and payment prioritization to finance leadership.
• Lead ERP and platform migrations (e.g., AMS → BigQuery → Odoo) and ensure balance reconciliation.
• Assess financial impact of product, marketplace and commercial changes in partnership with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Senior finance professional with strong technical accounting judgment.
• Proven experience in revenue recognition, settlement accounting and IFRS 15 compliance.
• Ability to coach and lead a team of finance specialists.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting to finance leadership and interacting with merchants, banks and auditors.
