Hotel Plumber – Engineering (Luxury Hospitality)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced plumber to join the engineering team of a luxury hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all plumbing systems across guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house facilities, ensuring uninterrupted service and high guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of all hotel plumbing systems.
• Maintain domestic water supply, hot and cold water distribution, drainage, sewage, stormwater, irrigation and water‑distribution networks.
• Inspect, repair and replace water supply lines, valves, fittings, pipes, sanitary fixtures and related equipment.
• Install, repair and service wash basins, WCs, urinals, showers, mixers, faucets and flush valves.
• Maintain water heaters, calorifiers, circulation pumps, pressure vessels, expansion tanks, booster pumps and water‑treatment equipment.
• Troubleshoot leaks, low pressure, blockages, pipe failures and equipment malfunctions.
• Ensure proper operation of grease traps, floor drains, sewage and sump pumps.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints while minimizing disruption.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, front office and external contractors for repairs and renovations.
• Perform daily inspections, record work orders and report abnormalities to the Chief Engineer.

Required profile

• ITI, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering or related trade.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a plumber in a luxury hotel, resort or large commercial facility.
• Valid trade certification where applicable.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, public holidays and on‑call duties.
