Infrared Thermography Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Infrared (IR) Thermography Engineer to support condition monitoring and reliability of electrical transmission and distribution substations. You will conduct infrared inspections, identify equipment abnormalities, and ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform infrared thermographic inspections on high‑voltage transmission and distribution substations.
• Detect thermal anomalies, abnormal heating, and potential defects in electrical equipment.
• Analyse thermographic images and inspection data to assess equipment condition and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed thermography reports, inspection records, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental (HSE) and permit‑to‑work requirements.
• Operate, handle, and maintain infrared thermographic equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Team Leader and multidisciplinary teams to report critical findings promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in condition monitoring of electrical transmission and distribution substations.
• Hands‑on experience performing infrared thermographic inspections on high‑voltage equipment.
• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
