In‑Room Dining Order Taker & Cashier

About the role

The Mandarin Oriental, Doha is seeking an In‑Room Dining Order Taker & Cashier to join its Food & Beverage team. You will be the first point of contact for guests ordering room service, providing menu guidance, taking orders accurately, and ensuring smooth billing and payment processes.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and record guest room‑service orders via phone or tablet.
• Suggest menu items, wine pairings, and promotions to enhance the guest experience.
• Track order progress and coordinate with the kitchen and service staff to guarantee timely delivery.
• Handle billing, cash handling, and POS transactions in line with hotel standards.
• Collect and return service trolleys, ensuring all items are accounted for.
• Assist other food‑and‑beverage outlets as directed by the In‑Room Dining Manager.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including ingredients and promotions.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and clear communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and service teams.
• Professional appearance and a customer‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) and billing systems.
• Basic cash handling and cashiering competence.
