Integration and Interoperability Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Integration and Interoperability Specialist (Senior Technical Specialist) to join a national eHealth programme in Doha. The role focuses on designing, implementing and operating an interoperability framework that enables secure, standards‑compliant exchange of clinical and business data.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate the interoperability framework, interfaces and controls for clinical and business systems.
• Produce interface specifications, inventories, data mappings, test evidence and operational controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a clinical or paramedical discipline (or equivalent health‑informatics/technical qualification).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in healthcare integration or interoperability, with hands‑on development and troubleshooting of healthcare interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of HL7 v2 and FHIR, including messages, events, segments, profiles, mappings and conformance.
• Experience with interface engines or middleware, preferably Rhapsody or an equivalent enterprise engine.

Required skills

• HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA, REST/JSON and healthcare APIs.
• Integration engines such as Rhapsody, Mirth, InterSystems or Cloverleaf.
• Clinical terminologies and code systems: SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD.
• API testing tools: Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI.
• SQL and log analysis for data integrity, error handling and performance monitoring.
