I.R.D Order taker & cashier

About the role

The In‑Room Dining (I.R.D) Order Taker & Cashier supports the hotel’s food and beverage service by taking guest orders, processing payments, and ensuring a seamless dining experience in guest rooms. You will work closely with the kitchen, front‑office, and I.R.D team to deliver high‑quality service while adhering to hotel policies.

Key responsibilities

• Explain food and beverage offerings, wine pairings, ingredients and promotions to guests.
• Take orders via phone or in‑person, record details accurately and communicate them to the kitchen.
• Provide guests with estimated preparation and delivery times and handle reservation inquiries.
• Coordinate VIP amenity delivery with the Front Office and assist the I.R.D Server with table set‑up and clearance.
• Maintain and restock POS stations, stationery and mise‑en‑place.
• Track order delivery, collect trolleys and ensure timely service.
• Process billing and cash transactions using the hotel’s POS system.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of food and beverage menus and the ability to convey details clearly.
• Professional phone etiquette and excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow hotel policies and SOPs.
• Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to coordinate across departments.
