Junior Accountant (Retail)

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Accountant with retail experience to support daily accounting operations in a fast‑paced environment. The role is ideal for a detail‑oriented individual eager to learn and work closely with senior finance and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting transactions and bookkeeping activities.
• Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Perform bank, cash, and account reconciliations.
• Record retail sales transactions and support sales reconciliations.
• Assist with inventory accounting and stock reconciliations.
• Support month‑end closing activities and financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Prepare reports for management review.
• Support audit requirements and compliance processes.
• Coordinate with store operations, warehouse, and other departments as needed.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the retail industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Currently based in Qatar with a valid QID.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel.
• QuickBooks, Zoho, Odoo or similar ERP accounting software.
• Basic accounting software proficiency.
