Lifting Equipment Superintendent

About the role

The Lifting Equipment Superintendent oversees safe operation, maintenance, inspection and certification of all lifting equipment and gear, ensuring compliance with industry standards, manufacturer recommendations and HSE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise operation, maintenance and inspection of all lifting equipment and associated gear.
• Develop and maintain lifting plans, rigging scenarios and risk assessments for critical, super‑heavy and tandem lifts.
• Lead and assess riggers, crane operators and lifting personnel, ensuring competency and safety awareness.
• Monitor technical integrity, certification validity and HSE compliance of crane structures and components.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and dealers on technical issues and manage spares inventory.
• Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 12+ years of experience in lifting equipment, including at least 5 years in the GCC.
• Experience on oil & gas projects is a strong advantage.
• Age between 38 and 45 years.
• Strong leadership and commanding personality.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of lifting standards and regulations.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• AutoCAD skills.
• Experience using specialized load‑chart software for lifting plan design.
