LV Switchgear Design Engineer

About the role

WRKFORCE is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer specialized in LV switchgear to work on‑site at its factory in Doha’s Industrial Area. The role focuses on designing LV switchgear and panels, ensuring compliance with IEC standards, and delivering precise shop drawings for manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Design LV switchgear and panels such as MDB, SMDB, MCC, ATS, DB and control panels.
• Prepare detailed AutoCAD and shop drawings for production.
• Ensure all designs meet relevant IEC standards and approve component specifications.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, quality control and procurement teams to resolve design queries and update documents.
• Maintain accurate records of design revisions and support technical submittals for client review.

Required profile

• 3‑7 years of experience in LV switchgear/panel design (MDB, SMDB, MCC, ATS, DB, control panels).
• On‑site work at a switchgear factory; no office‑based design role.
• Strong knowledge of IEC standards and ability to verify busbar configurations and wiring layouts.
