Manager Aircraft Interior – Product Development & Design

About the role

We are seeking a highly creative and commercially minded Manager Aircraft Interior to lead the development and integration of current and future aircraft interior features for Qatar Airways. The role will shape cabin hard‑product strategy and visual vision, drawing inspiration from aviation, automotive, consumer electronics and industrial design to deliver premium passenger experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer‑facing cabin interiors across new aircraft programmes, fleet upgrades and interior enhancement initiatives.
• Support the development and implementation of interior strategies that enhance passenger comfort, aesthetics and brand identity.
• Define interior features, branding elements, lighting concepts and product specifications meeting premium quality standards.
• Collaborate with industrial design studios, OEMs, suppliers and innovation partners to develop future cabin product concepts and technologies.
• Translate design briefs into compelling product concepts and visual presentations for stakeholders.
• Manage multiple interior projects and design milestones to align with fleet programme schedules.
• Represent Product Development & Design as the voice of the customer during programme reviews, inspections and acceptance activities.
• Develop cabin layouts, seating concepts, galleys, lavatories, colour schemes, materials and finishes that meet operational and customer requirements.
• Conduct industry research, competitor benchmarking, material evaluations and trend analysis to maintain leadership in cabin design innovation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aircraft interior development or related product development and design roles.
• Strong commercial mindset with ability to align design solutions with brand standards and operational requirements.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with internal stakeholders, aircraft manufacturers, suppliers and design partners.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict programme milestones.
• Creative vision inspired by aviation, automotive, consumer electronics and industrial design.
