Outside Catering Assistant Manager

About the role

The Outside Catering Assistant Manager supports the Sales & Marketing team by handling guest interactions, reservations, and office duties while upholding Marriott and Ritz‑Carlton brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Contact appropriate departments to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems.
• Use sales techniques to maximize revenue and maintain guest loyalty, including up‑selling and offering complimentary gifts.
• Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations via phone, fax, or mail, and enter Marriott Rewards information into the system.
• Answer, record, and process all guest inquiries, and perform general office duties such as filing, emailing, typing, and faxing.
• Assist management in training and motivating employees, and monitor performance to ensure quality standards.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, and maintain professional communication.

Required profile

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Related work experience: Minimum 2 years in a similar role.
• No supervisory experience required.
• License or certification: None.
