About the role
The Outside Catering Assistant Manager supports the Sales & Marketing team by handling guest interactions, reservations, and office duties while upholding Marriott and Ritz‑Carlton brand standards.
Key responsibilities
- Contact appropriate departments to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems.
- Use sales techniques to maximize revenue and maintain guest loyalty, including up‑selling and offering complimentary gifts.
- Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations via phone, fax, or mail, and enter Marriott Rewards information into the system.
- Answer, record, and process all guest inquiries, and perform general office duties such as filing, emailing, typing, and faxing.
- Assist management in training and motivating employees, and monitor performance to ensure quality standards.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, and maintain professional communication.
Required profile
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Related work experience: Minimum 2 years in a similar role.
- No supervisory experience required.
- License or certification: None.
