Recreation Manager – Leisure Club Operations

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic, self‑motivated Recreation Manager to lead the leisure club operations at City Centre Rotana Doha. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional fitness and recreational experiences while managing budgets, staff, and member satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain optimum membership levels and continuously monitor performance.
• Train all employees to meet established standards.
• Coordinate fitness assessments and provide personalized exercise programmes with safety instructions.
• Engage qualified specialized instructors (e.g., tennis, water sports) and ensure they possess required professional and interpersonal skills.
• Keep all areas, including locker and shower rooms, spotless and hygienic.
• Enforce food hygiene, health and safety regulations, and applicable legislation.
• Supervise food & beverage outlets within the health, fitness, and recreation zones to ensure efficient operation.
• Stay updated on the latest sports, fitness techniques, and equipment, recommending improvements to management.
• Organise sports and social activities for guests and members, incorporating feedback and requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in sport or leisure management.
• Proven experience as a Recreation Manager in an international hotel environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to contribute to sales initiatives and maximise revenue.
• Strong problem‑solving capabilities.
• Hands‑on professional with a passion for sport, solid fitness background, and excellent customer relations.
• Result‑oriented, proactive, innovative thinker with leadership and motivational skills.
• Competencies: Business understanding, team building, business planning, people leadership, diversity appreciation, operations management, customer focus, adaptability, influencing outcomes, drive for results.
