Remedial Manager

About the role

The Remedial Manager is responsible for maximizing recovery from defaulting customers and overseeing the health of the bank's loan portfolio. This role involves detailed portfolio analysis, stakeholder communication, and recommending corrective actions to protect the bank’s financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Maximize collection rates by implementing recovery strategies for defaulting customers.
• Conduct regular debt portfolio reviews, identify delinquent accounts, and report findings to senior credit leadership.
• Track and monitor credit standings, relationships, and developments related to defaulting customers.
• Negotiate and coordinate with branches, hubs, subsidiaries, and customers on remedial issues.
• Recommend settlement, write‑off, or provisioning actions to the appropriate committee.
• Suggest restructuring or liquidation options within defined loss guidelines.
• Communicate portfolio reviews and take actions needed for provisioning purposes.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in accounting or a related field from a recognized university.
• 3‑5 years of experience in remedial or credit recovery within a leading international bank.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Solution‑oriented mindset.
