About the role
The Rigger will support heavy lifting operations for large equipment, pipes, and valves using high‑capacity cranes up to 500 tons. The role involves ensuring safe load handling and coordination with crane operators.
Key responsibilities
- Check loads to be moved, estimate size, shape, weight and centre of gravity, ensuring they do not exceed crane capacities.
- Attach lifting devices using clamps, hooks, bolts, and knots, and select appropriate slings and padding.
- Continuously monitor the load path, using hand signals, whistles or radios to alert personnel.
- Guide loads into position as they are lowered and oversee lifting of heavy equipment, large pipes, and control valves.
Required profile
- Secondary (12 years) certificate, preferably ITI.
- At least 7 years of hands‑on experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Fertilizer industry.
- Valid rigging certificate from a competent, certified agency.
- Experience with cranes up to 500 tons.
