About the role
KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Rigging Supervisor to lead rigging operations on large‑scale projects in Qatar. The role involves overseeing the safe lifting and moving of heavy equipment, pipes and valves using high‑capacity cranes.
Key responsibilities
- Check loads, estimate size, shape, weight and centre of gravity to ensure they do not exceed crane capacities.
- Attach lifting devices, select appropriate slings and padding, and guide loads into position using hand signals or radios.
- Supervise lifting and shifting of heavy equipment, large‑size pipes and control valves with cranes up to 500 tons.
Required profile
- Minimum 7 years of hands‑on experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Fertilizer industry.
- Secondary (12‑year) certificate, preferably an ITI certificate.
- Valid rigging certificate issued by a competent, certified agency.
Required skills
- Rigging certification and expertise.
- Operation of high‑capacity cranes (up to 500 t) and heavy‑lifting equipment.
