Senior Associate – Corporate Advisory

About the role

A leading Qatar‑based law firm is expanding its Corporate Advisory team and seeks a commercially‑minded Senior Associate. The role offers the chance to advise both local and international clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters while mentoring junior lawyers and managing key client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage corporate and commercial matters, providing commercially focused legal advice.
• Advise on corporate transactions, commercial contracts, financings, corporate governance, restructuring, and regulatory issues.
• Draft and review agreements, legal opinions, memoranda, and other client documentation.
• Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and strategic discussions.
• Supervise and develop junior lawyers, including associates and paralegals.
• Collaborate closely with partners and senior team members on complex matters.

Required profile

• 6–10 years post‑qualification experience in a reputable law firm or legal practice.
• Strong corporate and commercial advisory background across transactions, contracts, financing, governance, and legal opinions.
• Proven experience managing client relationships and supervising junior lawyers.
• Excellent drafting, communication, and analytical abilities.
• Qualified lawyer with a recognised law degree.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
