Senior Audit & Assurance Professional – Qatar

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an experienced Senior professional to join its Audit & Assurance team in Qatar. The role involves leading audit engagements, building stakeholder trust, and ensuring high‑quality delivery in line with regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and adapt audit referral instructions, clearly defining scope and focus areas.
• Liaise with on‑shore and off‑shore Centres of Excellence, coordinating delegated tasks and ensuring accurate information flow.
• Track deliverables from component auditors, linking risks, controls, procedures and findings across the audit file.
• Articulate and monitor audit quality milestones, ensuring completeness and compliance.
• Prepare documentation that anticipates reviewer questions, distinguishing accounting from auditing judgments.
• Challenge audit timing assumptions and propose efficiencies within the audit cycle.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to build credibility with stakeholders and understand their service expectations.
• Strong awareness of regulatory impact on business processes and risk management.
• Experience in managing group audit structures and coordinating multi‑team engagements.
• Proactive attitude toward relationship building beyond the finance function.
