Senior Contracts Officer – LNG Trading

About the role

The Senior Contracts Officer will lead the negotiation, analysis, preparation and revision of LNG contracts and service agreements. You will ensure accurate documentation management and timely communication of contractual nomination dates across all aspects of the deals.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate, analyse, prepare and revise LNG physical and derivative contracts.
• Maintain comprehensive contract documentation and control systems.
• Record and communicate contractual nomination dates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide high‑quality contractual options and opinions to commercial teams.
• Identify risks and opportunities in complex operational situations.
• Collaborate with trading, risk control, sales operations, finance, legal and project teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years in a contracts role, with at least 3 years focused on LNG trading.
• Proven understanding of LNG physical and derivative transactions and trading customs.
• Ability to make fast, risk‑based decisions, often with incomplete information.
• Excellent client and internal stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Law, Business Administration or equivalent; MSc or MBA preferred.
