Senior Contracts/Legal Specialist (Competition Lawyer)

About the role

The Senior Contracts/Legal Specialist will provide expert legal advice on competition law and related compliance matters. The role focuses on developing contracting and negotiation strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, and supporting the company’s business model across various sectors, including aviation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute contracting and negotiation strategies that consider economic variables and creative solutions.
• Identify performance‑enhancing opportunities and propose new productivity strategies.
• Assess risks and threats to projects and recommend mitigation plans to senior management.
• Act as a trusted legal and business advisor to internal clients, interpreting competition law for current and future initiatives.
• Evaluate events for impact on reputation, contractual obligations, and business continuity, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Design, implement, and maintain contract formation, negotiation, and administration policies with an emphasis on EU antitrust law.
• Research, draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring high‑quality legal documentation.
• Escalate issues when necessary and communicate resolutions to administrative officials.
• Manage contract disputes and settlements in collaboration with Procurement, Finance, and Legal departments.
• Participate in bid preparation, supplier quotation reviews, and cost estimating activities.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in competition/antitrust law, preferably with exposure to EU regulations.
• Proven ability to advise on legal and compliance matters within the aviation sector or similar industries.
• Strong negotiation and contract drafting expertise.
• Capability to identify risks, propose mitigation plans, and work closely with cross‑functional teams.
